Cast Party...A GO!

Good morning everyone!

I am trying to throw together a some last minute planning for a cast party for after the show.  I am ordering chicken and will get a couple side items such as coleslaw and potato salad, water too.  If anyone wants to bring along a complementary dish to add to the meal just bring it to McMorran and find me!

We have plates napkins and forks.  I am ordering 100 pieces of chicken so after "we" strike the set the "parents" can join in for a bite to eat as well.

I will need some help to put this together and get McMorran back to the way it was before we got there, let me know if you can help.

  • Setup & cleanup in the memorial for cast party
  • Dressing room cleanup after show, 3 people
  • Clean up basement and put tables and chair in order - 2 people
  • Clean up makeup rooms-2 people
  • Strike for set-as many hands as possible
My final note...
This has been a great show because you all have the best kids.  I know this to be true because I have been around PHCT for a number of years!  I give your all my applause for what you and your fine children have created.

Matinees info

We are asking that the actors stay at McMorran between the matinee shows both Thursday and Friday. We will feed them on Thurs, Friday they should bring their own food. Thursday they may want to bring a blanket, pillow, games, or maybe if they want to watch a movie, a DVD player. Please know that we can not be responsible for any technology that could come up missing. We would also welcome any snacks and water for your actors!
Thanks :)

Monday Nov 26th

Practice at Keewadhin 6pm-8pm
Tuesday, we are working on St. Joseph school building which can be accessed from the parking lot off Chesnut & 7th St.  I will finalize at our Monday practice.

Regarding the email I sent about helping with the show...if it would be easier I will bring a sign up sheet to our Tuesday practice for parents to volunteer.

T-shirts have arrived and will be distributed to students tech week.  We are going thru the order Monday to confirm that it is correct and then we will hand out adult orders and sweatshirts this week.

Everyone will need to have CLEAN white athletic shoes for the show & KHAKI pants. A few actors said they did not have white shoes, so those will need to be purchased.  We may ask for a costume preview but I will keep you posted if that is needed.  Consistency with costumes is important to have the show look the best possible & we appreciate your support with this.

Only 2 weeks left!!!  WOW!

What is CALL

"Call" is a term used to refer to the time everyone is to arrive at the theatre on show days. Our call time is always 2 hours before the show. So on Thursday and Friday kids must be at McMorran at 7am, Friday & Saturday night 6pm, Sunday at 1pm.

Santa parade details for Friday

Had some wrong information. All will be walking.
This Friday is the Santa parade, We have a float for the cast to ride. We will not be "throwing" candy from the float. If we could get a couple of adults to walk alongside the float and pass out cards for our show that would be great. We are meeting between 5pm and 5:30pm behind Semco/YMCA, don't have our position yet. Wear something warm but try to wear Christmas colorsl, maybe a Santa har or Rudolph antlers? We will have music (hopefully from the show) so you guys can sing along!, Up to date information will be on the blog so check that right up until parade time for any changes.
Any questions you can contact Mike Timm at 810-531-4338

Scripts

Most cast members received scripts today at rehearsal.  We will be placing an order for those that did not get one.

There are a couple options with scripts:

  1. If your are borrowing them, they will be collected back during the week of the show.  Please only use pencil in the books and erase all marking prior to returning them.
  2. If you choose to purchase them, the cost is $10.00 and mark them as you wish.
In all case please indicate the actors name inside the script so when lost, they can be easily returned.

After your read this post, please send me your email at phcivictheatre@gmail.com so I can send you a show bio form to complete so we can get rolling on our show program.  We are also close to getting T-shirt orders finalized, that form will also some via email!

Thanks, Ronda :)
p.s. at the bottom of this page is our rehersal calendar for your reference.  If you use gmail calendar you can add it to your personal gmail cal by selecting the button in the bottom right corner.

Show news!

December 7th-9th 2012

The Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs is not only making a small-screen comeback, instructing a whole new generation to “Unpack Your Adjectives” and “Do The Circulations,” it’s lighting up stages everywhere, from school multi-purpose rooms to university and regional theatres all around the country.Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such beloved Schoolhouse Rock songs as “Just A Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.”
